My Favorite Fast Food Treats

I try to be health conscious most of the time. But sometimes you just need to splurge whether it is because of a craving; or for the convenience of fast food.

So here are my favorite fast food treats. I don’t think fast food is good to eat every day, or even once a week, but once in awhile is OK. Many people are trying to be frugal right now and eat at home.

But everything in moderation right?

Wendy’s Chocolate Frosty

Smooth soft creamy chocolatey ice cream that you can eat with a straw or a spoon on the go. No mess and delicious.

Wendy’s French Fries

These hot fresh soft fries are lightly salted, and they actually taste like potatoes;

Unlike some fast food fries that are too deep fried.

I dip them with honey mustard sauce. You can get them for $1.00 on the dollar menu.

Dunkin Donuts Hash Browns

Like little golden potato pancakes. These little pancakes are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Don’t forget the ketchup.

Burger King's Whopper Jr.

Mmm…..This burger has the flame broiled taste. I like it with cheese, lettuce tomato, onion, pickles, and a little mayo. And it is less than two bucks! I dont know about you but I am always getting coupons in the mail too.

Starbucks Petite Vanilla Scones

I love scones and these mini scones from Starbucks are so cute and delicious. They are soft and buttery; made with real vanilla beans and lightly glazed with icing (75 cents each). You need at least 3 to go with your coffee.

I tried making my own version of these at home with no luck. I am sure there are some Starbucks copycat recipes out there.

McDonald’s Fruit and Yogurt Parfait

McDonald’s has been leading the way with healthy options in fast food. I love their fruit and yogurt parfait. It is made with vanilla yogurt, fresh berries, and granola. Great for breakfast or a snack, it’s pretty satisfying. It is also a good healthy snack option for the kids. You can get smaller snack size parfait too.

Dunkin Donuts Original Iced Coffee

There is something special about Dunkin Donuts Iced coffee. It is very addicting. I like the original flavor with a little cream and sugar. I’ll drink it iced year round but it’s a must in the summer.

Dunkin Donuts Chocolate Munchkins

Great when you need a little something sweet. Like little round chocolate cakes. I need at least three.

Panera Broccoli & Cheese Soup

Ok maybe Panera isn’t technically fast food…The best soup on the menu is the broccoli & cheese soup.

It’s a nice creamy, cheesy soup good to warm you on a cold day. Served with some homemade bread for dipping.
