According to evolutionary theory faces are more attractive the more symmetrical they are.

What makes a face beautiful... Glowing skin, vivid eyes, symmetry,facial angles, high cheekbones…?

We look at someone and make a split second judgment on whether they are attractive.

Strangely sometimes what makes a face attractive is not always perfection.

Look at some attractive celebrity faces that are not technically perfect.

For example Celebrities like:

• Jennifer Aniston- Imperfect Nose
• Tom Cruise- Crooked Teeth
• Bradley Cooper-Large Nose

These Celebs are undeniably attractive but if one were to analyze their nose, mouth, and facial symmetry they are far from perfection.

These celebrities do not have perfect noses, or chins or teeth…

But somehow their features together just work together.

Much of what is attractive is really a mystery.

Beauty and attractiveness can’t be created as it is found in nature even with the most expensive plastic surgeon.

Surgery can actually have the opposite effect with over inflated lips, Whittled down noses or stretched unnatural skin; Think Michael Jackson, Joan Rivers, and Lisa Rinna.

Modeling Agencies are always looking for the elusive "it" factor.

Not the prettiest girl, But a “unique face” or an “editorial model”.

One theory for facial beauty involves symmetry. A symmetrical face has:

• The eyes are half of the way down the front of the head and should be 1/5 of the width of the face.
• Ears should lay flat to the head for the most part and extend from mid eye to the opening of the mouth.
• Lip edges should line up with the pupil of the eye, no thicker than the closed eyelid.
• The nose should be at the base just larger than the eye width and sit not too far above the lips.
• The bridge of the nose should extend straight and not be too protruding or flat.
• The chin should be gently rounded and smooth.
• The face in general should be oval shaped with smooth skin and clear cheekbones.
• Eyebrows should be separate, but not too thin.
